Astro Robot

[Anapan]

Anyone ever heard of an Italian cartoon called Astro Robot? I found a picture of him and it seems to be a direct rip-off of Astroboy, red rocket boots and all.

I found it on eMule. I've got some episodes downloading now (I'll copy them to the /misc/astro_robot/ directory on the ftp).

There is also a Mexican cartoon called Jetter Mars. He has almost the same hair, the two points. But he has blue boots and pants.

I think jetter is a tesuka production isnt it??
Maybe these are just variants of astro to suit the audience of the country...I dunno pure speculation here

Pretty sure it is... i Just found Jetter in the Atom GBA game and had him added to my Heart ^^

Jet Mars was produced by a different animation studio, tho Osamu Tezuka did the character designs. I don't think he had much to do with it aside from design work tho.

Astro Robot isnt nearly as cute as Astro Boy though.
