Previous adventure: 3, FRANKEN (LIVE ACTION)
As with the previous stories in this series, this one is heavily embellished.
far right: Dr. Manmos (some versions "Moss'), the director of the US Air force mission to Mars.
Aliens appear very early in story (Obviously :lol & things jump all over the place.
It appears they are having fun, but really are fighting.
Exterior view of Aliens' space ship.

(2) Volume of the expedition atom
hmy: Alien impersonates Air Force Officer!
Atom must travel as inanimate object; compare to Adam Link!
(3) Flying Skyscraper
Is this the end of Atom?
A sudden lightning bolt awakens our hero, but will he arrive in time?
(4) Air Force Major Atom
Oops, a collision as they round the corner!
And you though Chitan was loud!
Frustrated and angry with the fact that Moss has made a robot his commanding officer, Ketchup has drunken himself into a stupor.
How convenient that this woman empathizes with him.
Atom meets 'KAPETTO (Kyāpetto) just a little bit earlier than in the other versions.
(5) secret maneuvers of the alien costume
Atom cranks up the gain on his ears, so he can find the bomb.
(6) Mars Rocket
It appears that Tezuka, still affected by his ill-treatment by American soldiers in the aftermath of WWII, made certain to depict some U.S. military personnel as brutes.
hmy:
(7) OOPS, THIS SEGMENT HAS BEEN LOST!
So, here is a good opportunity to list a few names of the crew:
Is it purely an unrelated naming of those characters? ?? Did the Beatles knowingly or by sheer accident, name their guy Sgt. Pepper?
- ケチャップ大尉:三鬼弘| kechappu taii: Miki Hiroshi/ Hiroshi Miki: Captain Ketchup
- マカロニ中尉:瀬戸明 | Makaroni chūi: Seto akira/ Akira Seto: Lieutenant Macaroni

Thank you for sharing JeffBert! This series of episodes are almost interesting! it is understandable to see why Dr. Tezuka hated this sereis!
It is interesting to see that the Japanese producers saw a need to give Atom clothing!
It is too bad these episodes where never dubbed like the "Super Giant" series was. One can hear the voice of Billie Lou Watt in one of the films of "Starman"!
Any way thank you for posting< JeffBert! It almost makes me wish I had the later "Mighty Atom" live-action episodes in my collection. (Almost!)
