My AMV is a finalist
I made an AMV to the 2003 series and sent it to Anime Boston's AMV contest. I just got the e-mail the it has been chosen for the finalists I'll post the video after the convention (which is in April) and let you know how it goes.

I unfortunately did not win. I lost to this Magica Madoka video

I admit, I was pretty disappointed at first but I didn't get in this to win. I got in this because I'd been going to Anime Boston since 2008 and not once did I see our little Atom at the AMV contest and rather than just complain about it, I'd try my hand at changing it, and perhaps even mingle with other editors to help fight my social anxiety issues. And I accomplished just that. Everyone appeared to respond the video well, some told me "the feels" the video gave them, one person even thanked me for making it, and at least one of the editors told me he's going to look up the series now.
Also, I discovered what odds I beat. I learned almost 200 videos were submitted with room for only 30 at the contest. Then I found out 42 of those videos were drama (my category) with only room for five entries. So, considering all that I'd say this alone was an achievement.
Oh, and for anyone curious, here's the voting ballot showing that it was indeed at the AMVs.
