Hey everyone, i'm new to the fourm, and since i'm primarally an artist, i thought it would be apt for my first post to be in a fanart topic.

So, these pics are stuff i've done resently to do with a game project i'm thinking about developing. It's an Astro Boy/Mother crossover fangame, mainly because i've noticed sertain simularitys between the two series (apart from both being amazeing yet have small fandoms.) perticularly Mother 3 and the 2003 series.
So anyway. heres what i've been doing.

This is the first picture i did in relation to it. Astro fighting the Mother character Masked Man. Tenma's head is in the background as is Mother 3's main villians (Porky/Pokey depending on what sources your going by... I tend to call him Porky)

Consept for Tenma's outfit. I tried to keep near the 2003 design cause i like his outfits in that, all i added was the pig mask army logo.

The main party for the game. Includeing Astro, Zoran, Lucas (Mother 3), and Ness (Mother 2/Earthbound).


Finally, since these are small i'm posting them directly. Astro and Tenma sprites in Mother 3 style, i'll probubally make a full sprite sheet for the game, but first i wanted to see how they'd look. I'll probubally be making more sprites like this of other Astro characters later.

Dororo is a girl ( well she claims to be a boy ) yes but not a woman silly goose are you not aware of the life action movie they made a few years ago? Dororo suddenly is an older teenager in that movie!

Before that film, I had seen the series in its entirety. But until I read the translated manga, I was a bit confused by the film. I assumed Dororo was a boy. But the funny thing is, that the episode guide on the old Tezuka site always used the feminine pronouns, but I guess I simply overlooked them.

Same thing here! i was very confused and i saw the Japanese anime of Dororo they were entertaining ( but without English sub ) you have no idea whats going on but i really liked the Dororo. I think its kinda cool Tezuka made such a cool tomboy.

I just thought it was strange they hired a older girl to play the part of Dororo instead of a little igrl.

I also thought that was weird, but at the time, I thought Dororo was a boy, so it seemed weirder still. I disliked the omission of that detail, that of Hamegg's character discovering Dororo is a girl. As much of a lowlife as his character was, he was rather decent toward Dororo from then on.

But actually reading the manga also let me know that Hyakkamaru was actually blind, deaf, & mute; even so, he seemed more adept than Daredevil ever was.
