*squee squee squee squee squee squee* :D This makes me so so happy. Too bad you don't have the rest of them, though.

Actually, that's not what I meant. I would love to have them all in widescreen, personally (though I'd like it even better if I could understand them, uhuehue).

I don't know why they decided to edit the ELV in "pan and scan" instead of wide screen. Wide screen DVDS are seen in letterbox format on old TVs and correctly on wide screen sets. In 2010 when the DVD was released, we had already converted to digital so wide screen TVs were common. Much detail was lost with the pan and scan conversion, such as Tezuka type bits of humor.

But the thing was pan & scan when dubbed in English, Tetsuwan Penguin; no way were they going to give it the deluxe treatment of using the original video matched to the English audio.

I don't even think it was "pan and scan", if it is what it sounds like. It just looked horribly cropped to me...

Oh, no; heaven forbid they actually make something worth paying for in the digital age. -__- Heck, we were already well into digital conversion as far as DVDs and such go (although I think that even then, VHS was still available).
