Even though he certainly existed at the time... I'm not even sure he showed up in that arc. And anyways, they're probably only drawing from that arc because it's likely the only one with one-time appearance characters that people actually recognize, especially since Pluto. (I read that fairly recently; not sure I could say I'm a fan.)

It's also one of the most popular and well known arcs in Astro Boy. At least in Japan.

P sure it is in most places. Kind of hard to forget, ain't it... too bad it's among my least favorites of the ones I'm familiar with.

I think it's a good story and I can see how the story has become so popular, but I personally am a bit indifferent to it in the long run. Not sure I have an actual favorite arc in any version of Astro Boy.
