while that DVD has been released in many countries (i just have the American version) i heard that the Australian version has even more interviews than only that one but i'm not sure do you know ?

That was a pretty cool video. The whole time I was watching it, it didn't even feel like Tezuka was gone. He was very much alive in that video like you guys said. And to think that video was released in 1988, just before he passed away...

That was pretty interesting about how he came up with the characters, especially Higeoyaji. He didn't even originally design him!

"Strange Wings" wrote:A further Japanese game show that had Tezuka featured as a guest was "Terebi Tanteidan" ("TV Detective-Gang"), which used to be very popular in Japan during the 80s. The broadcast featuring Tezuka was up on Youtube until the recent year, unfortunately it got taken down meanwhile.

The show's most hilarious part was when Tezuka was asked to assign a manga character to each of the 3 show presenters, according to their respective faces. The female presenter was told to look like an angel character from 'Ribbon No Kishi' ('Princess Of The Ribbon'); the younger presenter to Tezuka's left was referred to as 'a scientist's boy' (I reckon it was because of the big glasses he was wearing); and the main presenter was depicted by Tezuka as 'not being human'! :D
It was priceless to look at the main presenter's face when Tezuka made his assertion towards him. The last seconds of the Youtube-video showed the main presenter going like: "She, 'Angel'! Him, 'Scientist's Boy'! Me, 'not human-like'!??"
Everybody was having pretty much fun there.

The game show's excerpt featuring Osamu Tezuka is available on Youtube again. Watch it as long as it's up there, chances are that it will get deleted again! :)

I just watched it, & for those who have not, it contains clips from the live-action MIGHTY ATOM & VAMPIRES, each of about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Shorter clips of MAGMA LIVE, & others.

StrangeWings: what was the significance of those pull-away cards? The ones followed by a dramatic musical note. I guess they revealed questions, perhaps submitted by fans?

Cool! I only saw Tezuka in the introduction of one of the astro boy 80s episodes. I'll check this out sometime later when I have the chance to.

The figures of Astro sitting next to Uran with his arm around her was cute.
I wonder if Anime Sols will get around to subbing the Princess Knight Anime they showed a piece of?
They also showed a clip from the live action Tetsuwan Atom show. Which reminds me ... Image
They made him look like Uran not Atom! (the hair I mean!) (this clip came from one of Jeffbert's threads)

yeah, not only that, but it looks like he has a body of a female more than a male. (Unless if the actor was a female in the live series.)

I'm also interested in seeing Anime sols put up princess knight w/ english subs someday. I always wanted to see the series.
