We've just enabled an option that lets you upload your images straight to the forum. This means you don't have to rely on sites like imageshack any more (unless you really want to!). We'll also hold on to the images for as long as the forum stays on line so your posts will never have broken images again!
Right now images are limited to 800x600 and 2MB in size. We're still tweaking the system and trying to figure out the best limits, so feel free to post any questions or comments in this thread.
Using the new feature is a little different to adding images the normal way, so Vergere has written a handy guide to using the new upload tool.
Vergere wrote:When posting a message, you can find a button to manage your attachments below your text editor, in the additional options:
(Editor's note: you can also click the Paperclip button in the post editor toolbar!)
Clicking on this button opens a popup that allows you to upload an image, either from your computer or from an image on the Internet.
Once you have uploaded your files, you can see them above the button:
To insert your attachments into your post, click on the attachment button of the text editor:
If you don't insert your attachments, they will automatically appear at the end of your post.
Enjoy!
