So i was browsing pictures of Uran/Zoran with the search query "zoran astro boy" and guess what? I saw at least 3 pictures with absolutley horrifying disgusting content, one of which being Astro having sex with zoran! I hate it when they take the image of our hero and turn it into something so hideous!!!!
A friend of mine on deviantart noticed this too, and we were so angry!! This garbage needs to be taken right off the web!!!!!!!!!!!

A solution for removing those pictures is putting moderate or strict restriction on what images comes up. Those should remove those picture from what you're searching.

If not, blame them for not filtering it properly and try another searching websites by filtering to the strictest possible standard.

The fan base is very fortunate to not have a ton of pornographic pictures. I believe there are less than 500 pornographic pictures on the Internet that exist, which is very good when compared to other franchises. Which is, in turn, pretty surprising when you consider the relatively perverted nature of the franchise in comparison to most kids franchise (Astro Boy runs in his underwear a lot and well as one episode in the 1960s series that had him receiving butt spanking).

I tried filthering but i STILL get such messed up results through!!!!!! I just say that i need to get them off the web!
I wish i could just browse pictures of Zoran (i personally choose that over Uran) without nearly traumatizing myself over crud-minded people's hideous creations!!!!!

This is the real problem with the internet...there's people eager to show off some dark fantasies, and always a way to accidentally find it. The fact that I've met more than one person who thinks Astro/Uran is a good idea is enough of a shocker for me.

Having experienced all sides of Tezuka's fandom, though, I must say that there's far more slash (with smatterings of bara and shotacon, which are...ask your parents) to be found, so this horrible pairing is a bit of an anomaly.

I don't really understand how it would be possible anyways, considering neither Astro or Zoran have sex organs and their clothes (i.e. Astro's pants) are built into their bodies.

Welcome to the Internet, everybody!! And, also welcome to the "real world!"

Depending upon what search engine you are using, and whether or not you have filters set to block such content, it will come up, along with everything else.

Sometimes - as you mentioned - even with filters - images and webpages with "X Rated" content will get through.

If you are searching the Internet, you need to accept that you are literally stepping out into the world at large - think of it as the entire ocean, as compared to a swimming pool in your backyard.

Think of ABO as a swimming pool - we work to keep content that might be upsetting in the way you're describing from being included in our threads and posts (that's part of why we have moderators).

Now think of the rest of the Internet - like stepping into the ocean - EVERYTHING is there: clams, fish, starfish . .. but also stinging jellyfish and sharks and creatures we haven't discovered yet. If you choose to step into the ocean, you need to be mature enough to realize if you don't WANT to be near the sharks or jellyfish, but suddenly you see them -- just move away and go somewhere else.

EVERYONE uses the Internet - including people who have completely different ideas from you about what is okay or fun. It can be very upsetting when you first come across these things - but that doesn't mean you can't search for images and stuff - just be aware that you COULD come across things that might upset you, or anger you.

And as for Astro and Uran/Zoran . . . I've seen some people make the argument that technically they are NOT related because Dr. Elefun built her, so she's really more like an adopted sister.

That doesn't work for me but I can see the logic. As for body parts . . . . . . let's not go there!

People are capable of dreaming up virtually ANYTHING. And chances are, out of the six billion people on Earth, there is somebody out there that will enjoy what they've created. That doesn't mean you have to like it . . . but if you come across it -- just move away - go to another webpage or come back here to ABO!
