Here is a scene you might think comes from The Planet of the Apes:
Here is the newly established kingdom of the robots:
The 2003 series borrowed elements of these two episodes for use in 45-48.
Is he in a video game?

I now start from scratch, with new captured frames"
Anyone remember Haf-Wey from an earlier story? Here, he remains in one piece, though.
Missiles launch toward Dr. Fooler's island, but--
A domed force field repels them. I think someone may have been inspired by George Pal's version of WAR OF THE WORLDS.
"I knew I shoulda become a yakuza! Why did I choose the military?"
It seems the general wants to use a doomsday weapon, but Ochanomizu wants to talk sense into him.
"Damn you all to Hell!"
So, it appears that the Neptune robot has caused flooding.
The tall bald guy with the mustache resembles the guy who worked in the haunted house in the episode in which Atom wants fear.
Hmm, this bartender seems familiar.
Tock near center, & Tick at far right.
This clip of the panicked crowd fleeing in terror was used in about 6 or 7 earlier episodes, but the mirror-image seen at top is new. The crowd had always been running from left to right, until this episode.
In #175, I said that this robot reminded me of my sister's SNO-CONE maker. It was in the shape of a snow man; you put an ice cube in the top, smooshed it down with his hat, turned a crank in the back, & crushed ice came out though the belly.
Atom attacks Neptune:
Apparently, Atom failed to note that Fooler was a robot.
Atom drags himself along the floor (I have enough frames for a GIF),
and pulls the lever that halts the countdown.
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when--
So the island goes up.
