Walpur Guiss

Count Walpur Guiss (ワルプル・ギス伯爵, Warupuru Gisu Hakushaku)¹⁾ is a character who appeared in the 1980s Astro Boy TV series.

He has Skunk Kusai copy the blueprints of Astro Boy's original plans. Walpur Guiss uses these to create his own robot named Atlas. However, he built Atlas with the inclusion of the Omega Factor, a device which gives robots the ability to lie, along with other negative traits. Likely because of this, Atlas eventually betrays Walpur Guiss.

In the Japanese version of the 1980s series, he is voiced by Eken Mine in Episode 20 and by Junpei Takiguchi in Episode 36.
