Astroboy 2003: Movie & Season 2?

So will we be getting an english dub of the new Astroboy anime movie? Also are they going to make more episodes in Japan? What's the status of the US/english rights to this stuff?

Wow! This one just kind of snuck up on me. Order placed! (should be noted that deepdiscountdvd.com is temporarily out of stock.) I've always wanted to see these episodes since they seemed closest to the spirit of the manga (though obviously changed a lot more by the US than the 80's version was.) A...

Each clamshell case has reversable box ...

I've never recieved any spam from DeepDiscountDVD. I've had nothing but great experience with them, and I've been ordering DVDs from them for years. With all due respect, I would take the advice from someone who has actually done business with them.

So like the 2003 series, the 1980s series episode order was shuffled for the english version. We know that when they did this with the 2003 series they made a mess of things and events happened out order, so I watch the episodes in the Japanese order since the series makes more sense that way. Howev...

I think it was a very good adaptation of the manga. It's said that movies based on books are NEVER exactly like the books they're based on. Some are pretty close, some are almost completely different. In the case of Metropolis I think the only character that was truely changed was Tima. Yes ...

the Metropolis anime is NOT completely different from the manga. I have the manga and I have read it, which I infact did before watching the movie. That said there were really only a few omittions from the movie: * in the manga Tima had a different name and was able to change genders via a button on...

Recently I've started looking into Osamu Tezuka's feature films, I already have Metropolis. It seems to be a bit difficult to find information on his films, especially films like Metropolis made by Tezuka Productions after his death. Metropolis isn't even listed on tezuka.co.jp. I'm ...
