I haven't been washed away yet. The river has reached its peak for the moment still halfway down the street from my house. That's a relief.

Hello Avatargirl.

I've been thinking of you also.

Christmas was okay though the river is currently flooding. But I hope and pray it won't become serious.

Happy New Year to you. :D

I was going to make my own thread but I'll just reply to this one.

The floodwaters are expected to peak up to my house by tomorrow. :(

But it shouldn't wash me away. If any water hits me it'll only be downstairs.

That said Happy New Year everybody. :)

Thank you Androids and Astronomical. Merry Christmas to you both. And Astronomical I take it you mean over in America it would seem cold to her by comparison with here, and you're probably right. Australia's heat is very humid by nature and can be dry. We do have some air-conditioning systems in som...

Sorry if you don't see much of me for awhile

But it's starting to get very hot and humid and the area where I have my computer set up has no air-conditioning handy. I take the summer heat very badly and even with a fan or water-cooler I don't feel much like sitting at my computer browsing the net. Last month was remarkably cool for November, b...

(I'm sorry I haven't been keeping an eye on this thread like I promised friends, but you understand of course with what I've been going through with my grandmother. I hope things have been going fine though and I'll have a read of all of it at my leisure. :) )

I can now finally assure you all that she has been back at home for a couple of days. She's naturally weak and tired, but things seem to be fine. We have set up monitor speakers so we can hear how she's going in her room and can respond if there's an emergency. Thank you all for your care and support.

Thanks. At the moment I'm at hospital with Mum and Aunt Fran. It's Mum's birthday and we're going to celebrate with lunch with Nan here. Visitors can order and buy their own lunches at this hospital, so that works out swell. And it's cheap too. :)

Nan is still good. :)
