Whoa . . . I never saw those!! They look as if they were drawn by the infamous Ken Stacey. And because it NEVER worked, I tried it the other way (wet the tatoo and apply to dry skin) ...

ASTRO BOY tattoos
Back in the sixties in the U.S. of A., when Astro Boy was making ratings records, NBC Enterprises was busily setting up merchandising for Astro Boy. One of the items they sold a license to was Topps, an American maker of trading cards, also known as bubblegum cards because they were sold in a packet...

Thank you, Jeffbert for another great posting of one of the "undubbed 89". Especially this one which features some well known members of "Tezuka's stock company". It is always great to see these postings because for most of us it's like uncovering an all new Astro Boy story. Now for the review! Yes ...

Also just finished watching, "Mars Needs Women", "The Manster" and "the Cyclops"! "Mars Needs Women" is a really low budget made for TV syndication movie made in 1966. It stars Tommy Kirk who had been a star at Disney and Yvonne Craig just a little bit before she became Batgirl on the old Batman TV ...

Just finished viewing, "Frankenstein--1970"! Originally it was supposed to be titled, "Frankenstein--1960", but the producers thought it better to change the title and add ten years. (I don't know why they decided this!) The only thing is there is nothing futuristic about this film since it still lo...

I know Astro's spikes were an inspiration Dr. Tezuka got from his own curly hair in the morning (bed head!) . . . but I wonder about Astro's basic appearance (and NO not the speedoes) - has anyone ever read where he drew Astro's character based on a real child he knew? Many artists and cartoonists ...
