This month marks the 60th anniversary of the beginning of Tezuka's manga serial, "Atomu Taishi" aka "Ambassador Atom" aka "Captain Atom"! (Atom does not make an appearance in the serial until the fourth installment which would be the July, 1951 issue of "Shonen") Recently I purchased "The Mighty Ato...

Hey great! Am I right or am I right about it being a great companion to "Mighty Atom Complete Book"? My copy has 144 pages, not counting the covers which would make it a total of 148 pages. Hey, here's a question for you. In my copy of "Mighty Atom Complete Book", on page 86, there are no pictures f...

That episode is "The Beast from 20 Fathoms" aka "Midoro Swamp". The episode was known as "lost" because for awhile no Japanese version could be found, and the only copy known to exist was the English version. The original Japanese soudtrack has been found and it is included as a special feature in o...

Way back at the dawn of anime fandom in the U.S.A., at one of the conventions someone had translated all the main characters of "The Great Robot Competition" known as "The Robot Olympics" in a synopsis of the episode's plot; so I share them with you now. Doctors Rank and Rancid are known as Dr. Tabu...

the tall skinny guy (who 1st appeared in #66 Space Vikings) with the V-Turtle neck shirt. In SPACE VIKINGS, I got 'Delta' for his name, but I think there was also a title.

Taisho Delta or simply "Captain Delta"

[QUOTE=ASTROBUDDY;123604] I"ll do the one that is easiest to do and the one I am also interested in and that is the names of the three robotiers. [I like the names given to them in "Astro Boy", (which are Un, Deux, and Trois!); so I am curious to see what they are called in the original "TetsuWan A...

II has been known to turn up on eBay. Its cover features an old style TV showing Astro Boy in flight ...
