Are you saying that shows that cartoon network now airs, were first on Kids WB, and therefore we have hope for this, too?

I have seen 1-16 of the new series, and have noted the absence of manga-style humor. It is a departure from previous stuff, and a sad one, at that. :( :cry: Even the film Metropolis had Lamp with a candle on the back of his head, but the new Astroboy series completely lacks the funny visual gags!...

As described by the webpage, its all about the 80s version, although I do not see how that comes under "40th anniversary". But on the other hand, 152 pages seems like nowhere near enough to cover the 192 episodes of just the 60s alone, much less the color remakes.

Which incarnation? 60s, 80s, current, or manga? The copyright holders might not all be the same. The "Astroboy" 60s English dubbed version is owned by NBC, I believe the other two anime are owned by Tezuka co, as is the manga.
