Well, I've read here in at least one thread that Ochanomizu was born in 1951 and Tenma was born in 1966 (from the orignal manga) But you're right about Dr. O's first name. Fred Ladd's comical "Packadermus J. Elefun" at least includes a "J." so we can at least assume in his American incarnation he ha...

That looks like an animation cell from that episode! Is it?

It's a great scene - Astro goes flying around with Niki, managing to not get hit (of course! :w00t :) and at one points he tosses her in the air, and then catches her again! :p

And welcome to the forums!

Ha Haaa!! He's even got "red boots!" This seems primarily gimmicky - a cute novelty - but eventually having a humanoid robotic partner in space could be extremely helpful - for space walks and repairs, for instance. They cited "anime" as the source of inspiration - when, oh WHEN will they simply cit...

Our family had one of those and I did a little work in Basic on that. My brother Paul -- who is now a software engineer -- was about 12 back then -- glomped on...

That's not you, LBF -- I am THRILLED you spotted it because now a few of us are going to have this.

Does HTML count? :p Okay, it's the only one I know (used to know a bit of C). I really should learn though, my family is chock full of programmers  I'd encourage you to just get started. It's quite addictive actually - and frequently almost RELAXING (like knitting with your mind! ;) )

I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful year SOPikaMeowMeow!

Re: tablets - the Nook HD+ has lots of features and is $129 - which is pretty darn cheap for a tablet (I actually got one for MY birthday). So I hope you might be able to get your BD wish soon!
