Or maybe they were making Elefun and Tenma as physically different as possible, since they are mentally different from each other. They exaggerated Tenma's height and that he's underweight, and also Elefun, who is short and kinda overweight.

My mom used to watch Astro Boy (1960's) while she was small, although the show was only shown once a week.
