[QUOTE=Dragonrider1227;116869]Considering Astro's appearance isn't actually intended to arouse, he might be better off than I previously implied. It's Uran and her panty shots that I wonder about more now. Oh yea, I completely forgot about that from the 80's series. Why did they make her skirt so s...

Astronomical girl, haven't you been told numerous times not to post scans? This is illegal you know, and goes completely against our support of Astro Boy.

So basically, ecchi and violence is out in mainstream Manga and Anime. Heck, if I'm reading this properly, Astro Boy may officially become inappropriate for kids. What with the 10 year old boy in his underwear all the time. To say nothing of Uran's constant panty shots... Let's not overreact too muc...

I must say I already knew about this, but thought it had been that way for a long time. Though the site does seem to have grown a lot, nearly everything is translated now.

I also agree that Eternal Children sounds more like what the title would've officially been translated to.

Amazon does offer "Library Bindings" for double the price, but Dark Horse never mentioned these... It's probably just Amazon taking the books and putting the pages in a binder or something, so the size of the art would be the same. Now about the 2003 manga, it is still in print and the distributor, ...

sounds like a horror movie o_o Sounds totally like A.I.: Artificial Intelligence. (Comes out February on Blu-ray! I CAN'T WAIT!) Oh and I wanted to comment on the original card. I agree this is some of the best Astro Boy art ever, which makes me all the more sad that I think the artist didn't get h...

Uran's origin: in the last few panels of INVISIBLE GHOST, grateful humans present Atom with two oblong boxes (no evil laughs necessary). Not only is Uran in 1, but Cobalt (who was destroyed #18 MIDORO SWAMP) is in the other. I am fairly sure that the 50 page manga books are some of the earliest ver...

The part where he's walking out of the school building he seems to have a tiny body with a huge head. That part made me aww at the cuteness. It reminded me when Tezuka in his own comic compared different Astro Boy looks and said people prefered Astro looking small, and he drew him in a very similar...

You know, it would actually make an awful lot of sense to release an anime series before the movie. By the time the movie comes out, the manga will not be remembered as much, and who reads manga anyway? An anime would be a great help to boost interest in the movie. Just like to prepare the release o...
