Astro and Fukushima

The continuing tragedy of Fukushima I think would present a serious dillema for Professor O (and his many names) regarding sending Astro. For one...perminant irradiation. But I don't think you could keep Astro locked in a room and tell him why he wouldn't be sent, he'd probably bust out and go again...

Atom should play a role, perhaps as a spokeman for UNICEF or the IRC.

"Live well...I may not be home for a while." How can anyone not feel emotion over such selflessness in the face of this. makes me remember the letter Tokugawa Vassel Tori Mototada wrote to his son before he led 300 Samurai against forces loyal to the Toyotomi at Fushimi castle in 1600... "I will st...

Power has been restored to the Fukushima plant now, though that doesn't mean that the pumps are working.

The damage right now is considered "stable"...not good but not getting worse.

The Fukushima 50 have bought Japan precious time at the risk of their lives, true heroes.

At this moment, brave souls are throwing their lives away for the sake of their countrymen. It brings to my mind a statement retired Marine Corps General Chuck Krulak said some 20 years ago... "In the storied history of our corps, no adversary honored us more in battle than the Japanese soldier. He ...

The Fukashima 50: light a candle tonight.

50 brave souls at the Fukashima nuclear plant have chosen to stay untill death to do what they can to stop or slow the disaster.

Light a candle for them tonight and pray. Never in my life have I witnessed such valor.

Our friends in Japan need our prayers

An 8.9 off the coast. The news reports are horrific. Our prayers for our dear friends tonight. Hopfully the President will authorize U.S. forces in the region to render immediate aide.

God help them.

I say no with all the crap going on in my area and world wide.

Give the kid some resilliance at least. He'd be tripping out over Egypt though.
