There are dual audio DVD rips on Usenet with subtitles, but you have to pay for Usenet access anyway. Via legit channels your only choice is Manga's DVD boxset, available from online anime shops, Amazon, EBay, etc. Look for the red box with "A Hero For All Ages" printed on it. It's around US$20-$30 ...

Maybe they'll throw in the original theme at some point as a tribute, like they did for Lost in Space and I think one of the X-Men movies (which John Ottman also composed for). After all, the theme is so iconic it was played at Japanese train stations for Astro's birthday.

Generally people will recommend the series/medium they grew up with. My preference is for the 1980s anime. I think people spell it Uran because it was like that in the episode titles. I don't think anywhere outside the scripts spell it with an e on the end.

The list on Tezuka in English is the US DVD episode order. It's messed up, you get Zoran appearing before she's created, etc. I think they pushed the high-action episodes to the start to try to appeal to young boys.
