Just wanted to mention that I have few new videos on the FTP, mostly in the 80's series directory, and there's some new stuff in various other directories aswell (edit: added clips of the ps2 game in the clips directory). You can sort the files by date to see any recent additions.

I think the one you're looking at that's not manga style is drawn by Ken Steacy, the guy who drew most of the art for the American NOW Comics Astroboy in the early 80s. I have the first comic on my ftp.
The others are covers for the original mangas I think (the ones done in watercolor).

Anyone ever heard of an Italian cartoon called Astro Robot? I found a picture of him and it seems to be a direct rip-off of Astroboy, red rocket boots and all.

Aww, they really did cancel it. Even on YTV... I emailed Kids WB aswell. I wonder if there's enough fans to get it back on, even if it's in a different time slot? With TV Nihon dropping their fansub there isn't even a way for english speakers to view the show now... Hrm, I did find a set...

That's not uncommon, websites aren't very high priority for TV networks. Networks pay for the whole season of a show before they show them, so at the very least they'll probably show all the episodes they bought. There's also the commercials thay say "tune in next week for more astro...

That episode was requestd to be in Xvid instead of Divx (which I used for the rest of the episodes in that directory). I used the very latest version which just came out, so the codec may have used new features that are incompatible with your player. It plays for me.

Australia is on the opposite side of the world from where I live, and many of my friends have either moved there or vacationed and plan to go back.

It's the same, I watched bits of it while I was doing post-processing on episode 3. Tho I think the picture is clearer on that channel than the one I've been recording from.
