Interesting, fafner. Very interesting stuff indeed. I agree that it may be possible genetically, though I'd imagine to artificially create something like that is and will be well beyond human knowledge for quite some time. Could certainly be wrong tho' - maybe there will be a breakthrough. My head s...

Not to be a downer, and I really hope I'm wrong in this little girl's case, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if she ends up having a shorter than normal life span... Usually when the aging process doesn't go normally it doesn't end up a good thing - who knows if there are other factors/malfunction...

Nora, assuming you're in the US (not sure about other countries), I use this site a lot as they *always* have free shipping and great prices - delivery is a bit longer than someone like Amazon though (not unbearable but not lightning fast either): http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewproduct.htm?productI...

It depends how dark you want to go, really. A lot of characters who end up living "too long" do tend to get jaded, because in the end, they're...well, fixed...and everything and everyone around them constantly changes/dies. This Kimba set looks like it rocks, though I don't think I'd enjoy it without English subs. Hopefully eventually though! (I know, I know, I might be able to deduce the action just by watching, but I can't ever bring myself to watch something like that!) I can vouch for SlySoft's AnyDVD as working gr...

I was slightly disappointed by his comment I'll admit, but Jon's someone I have a lot of respect for, and I love what he does - I can't say before learning about the character and Tezuka and everything he did I wouldn't have said something similar out of simply not having more knowledge. That's his ...

"Astro Boy" 2009 Movie Mention on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Heya all, Just thought I'd mention that Jon Stewart actually mentioned Astro Boy (the movie as well as cartoon) on The Daily Show during his interview last night (Thursday January 7) with Maggie Gylenhall (viewable at thedailyshow.com for those interested). It isn't exactly a glowing mention, but I ...
