Yeah, he does have his Tezukaesque tags.
Butchy, hairy tough guy with girly eyelashes-now that's character design. :D

For all its flaws, I liked the Now comic up until issue seven, when it was under Mike Dimpsey's writing. Steacy was an okay artist for the series, but as soon as he took over as the writer the story (and his art) fell apart. The thing I liked most about Dimpsey's interperetation was the idea that ro...

 Uh, you guys are getting upset about an off-color joke about a fictional character? Remind me not to crack any funnies around here, then.

You'll have to wait a while for that. Fom the looks of the production thus far, Imagi probably won't have AB out til Christmas time in '09, if they make their deadline. If WB is distributing like they did with TMNT, Cartoon Network and Boomerang will be all abuzz a few months prior. It would be pret...

Why was he sympathetic to those who were frightened, and why was he compelled to remove them from danger? Why did he dodge death ray trajectories? M...

There was a story about an occupying American officer clocking him with the butt of a rifle, which really soured...

I also find Astro most compelling at his origins, but I also like "Lost in Outland" from 2003. I guess I like the concept of him losing his identity and living among a bunch of misfits, outcasts and has-beens.
Astro hangin' with his Gypsy peeps. Nice ring.
