FTP back up
I got some emails recently informing me that my FTP has been down for a while. I don't know exactly how long it's been down, but if anyone has had problems lately I've fixed it.

I make it a rule not to post unless I have something to contribute and until a few days ago I hadn't stumbled on anything new or interesting. I'll endeav...

Tezuka mini manga collection
http://www.kilian-nakamura.com/catalog/mini-manga-tezuka-osamu-collection-p-317.html Lol - miniature versions of most of Osamu Tezuka's creations. Too bad they're not in English, or available in parts, or affordable... I'd snap up a complete mini Astroboy collection in an instant! Too cool.

Pluto (manga)
Heard mention of a manga called Pluto while surfing the web today.
Wikipedia article
Aparently it's based directly on Astroboy's Greatest Robot in the World story arc. Haven't had a chance to look anything further up on it. Anyone know anything about it?
Edit:
Read it all online

As far as anime go, I'd have to say Ghost in the Shell. I really like how detailed and well thought out all of Masamune Shirrow's creations are. The Fuchikomas are really cool. A few other favorites of mine are All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku Robot Carnival Bubblegum Crisis Saber Marionette R...

That's a cool coincidence! I was just thinking about that movie last week and decided to download it. I'm going to watch it tonight and thought I'd check the boards first. I thought it was really cool as a kid. I agree that it was probably partly inspired by astroboy. There's a lot of common ideas i...
