Chapter five, Alive
“Sensei?!” called a voice. Black Jack sighed.
“Pinoco go answer the door,” he said, “I’ll hide your little friends.” turning to the two girls.
“Why do you have to hide her?” asked Pinoco.
“Because it might be Mrs. Night and her charge.” said Black Jack, “Mrs. Night wasn’t too pleased when I told her that the patients sibling was alive too.”
“Oh,” Pinoco said sadly. She ran to open the door. When the door was opened, in walked Mrs. Night and the three men and the patient.
“Well?” snapped Mrs. Night, “Where’s the doctor?”
“Er, he’s busy right now,” replied Pinoco, “He’ll be with you in a moment.” She lead The group to the waiting room. A few minutes later, Black Jack entered the room.
“Finally,” said Mrs. Night impatiently, “Now give my client a cheek-up.”
“You don’t have to tell me that, I’m the doctor,” replied Black Jack, “Wheel her into the room over there.” Black Jack pointed to a room. Then He turned to Mrs. Night and said, “It would help a lot if I knew the name of my patient.” Mrs. Night shook her head, “That I cannot tell you, I was asked strictly by her parents before they died that I never reveal her real name.
“I can however,” Mrs. Night went on, “Tell you her nickname, Its Midori.” (Midori means Green, I just picked it randomly.
)
“Why is her nickname ?” asked Pinoco.
“Because she’s cares a lot about the earth.” explained Mrs. Night. Black Jack had left the room while Pinoco and Mrs. Night talked. He walked into the room and asked the three guy that wheeled Midori into the room to leave. He just started the cheek-up, when Bright said, “I don’t want my sister anymore.” Black Jack was shocked.
“Why not?” he asked the girl.
“Because Mrs. Night doesn’t want my twin to live.”
“And just because Mrs. Night doesn’t want your sister, you have to give up on her?” Said Black Jack.
The girl started laughing, “ It would be better for her to live in heaven than with me and Mrs. Night.” replied Midori, “You can keep her if you want, but don’t let me see her!”
Black Jack finished the cheek-up and called the three guys.
“She’ll be fine,” said Black Jack to Mrs. Night, “Just give her time to rest.”
“Ok, Thanks Doctor,” said Mrs. Night snapping her fingers. The group left the house.
“Whew,” sighed Pinoco, “That lady can talk forever!”
“Like you?” chuckled Black Jack.
“What? Something must have been in my ear, cause I didn‘t quiet catch that” growled Pinoco. Black Jack chuckled again.
“Lets go put together Midori’s sister,” said Pinoco, changing the subject.
“Yeah.” agreed Black Jack. They walked into the room where Black Jack had hidden the twin of Midori. Black Jack took out some spare parts that he had from when he put together Pinoco, and some artificial skin. Pinoco got a out a outfit she had just bought for her new friend. Black Jack and Pinoco set to work.
A few minutes later, Black Jack and Pinoco had finished making the little girl. She fell asleep. They walked out of the operating room and plopped onto the couch. Black Jack fell asleep, but Pinoco was still awake. I wonder what her name should be? Thought Pinoco, Maybe something like my name… Pinoco thought for a few minutes. Then she jumped off the couch and yelled, “I’ve got it!” Black Jack was so startled that he fell off the couch.
“What is it?” asked Black Jack rubbing his head, where he hit it.
“I thought of a name for my new friend!” replied Pinoco, “Pin-Pin!”
“Pin-Pin?” said Black Jack, “Why Pin-Pin?”
“Because its kind of like my name, and because her outfit has pins on it.” Black Jack just shrugged, “Lets go see how she’s doing.” he suggested .
Chapter Six, Baby-sitting
“Yeah!” said Pinoco. They walked into the operation room and found Pin-Pin looking around the room scared.
“Your awake!” cried Pinoco happily. Pin-Pin just starred at her.
“I’ll give her a cheek-up.” announced Black Jack. He took out the necessary tools and walked over to Pin-Pin.
Pin-Pin looked frightened when Black Jack brought out a tool.
“Don’t worry, I’m only going to cheek your heart rate,” said Black Jack. He gave Pin-Pin the cheek-up and picked her up, “Pinoco,” he said, turning to Pinoco, “Your going to have to share your room with Pin-Pin.”
“Ok,” said Pinoco, leading the way to her room. Pinoco opened the door and Black Jack walked in. He put Pin-Pin on Pinocos’ bed.
“We’ll get her a bed later.” said Black Jack walking out of the door.
“Yeah,” said Pinoco, “I’ll baby-sit Pin-Pin!”
Black Jack sat down at his desk and looked at the medical record of Pin-Pins twin sister, then he mad a medical record for Pin-Pin. He sighed and put his head in his hands.
“Now I have two girls to take care of…” He said to himself, “Why do I let them talk me into taking them out?” But deep down inside him, he knew he did the right thing by not throwing away Pinoco and Pin-Pin.
