Very well done on that drawing, Myrtle! :astro:

I swear I've seen a style similar to it somewhere else. Do you share your art on another site?

Looks like you did a transparent background, as if making a 'cel'. Very nice, but I might have drawn Kimba standing up. There are examples of Tezuka drawing him as a 'biped' character.

I suppose I could write up a basic script, but I really don't want to just rip off L. Frank Baum's work, so it would have to be a parody or a lampoon type of effort, IE: something based on the WoO, but not a line for line retelling using Tezuka characters. If I came up with a script, then I'd throw that 'over the wall' for some 'Manga artist' to do the real work of turning it into a graphic novel.

nope, i don't post my art anywhere. i've considered using tumblr though.

also, i've been looking at more pictures of kimba, and i agree that i probably should've drawn him standing up!
i didn't really think of it at first ^ ^;

anyways, thanks for the feedback, guys! <3

You know what? I'm currently planning to do a fanfic story loosely based off this concept called "Somewhere Over Metro City" for my fanfic series "Astro Boy:
Onward, Astro!". It's the very least I can do...
