Hey it's Memorial day, so I wrote a special Astro story for the occasion.

Great story as always. Also could not help but to think ahhh when Cobalt gets the medal. Its even funnier that Astro has to force it on him.

Well what I meant was that I thought you'd really enjoy it because of my attention to Cobalt in this story, and I know you really like him.

Heh, so do a lot of people around here. But I also seem to be one of the ones of that group to consistently read most of your stories.

I have to admit that most of this stuff is beyond me; I am not technology-savvy, and my interest in the military and its weaponry is very low to non-existent. I suppose it'd be handy to know for a story, but mostly it just flies right over my head whenever you go into one of your tech-spiels... not that that's necessarily bad; I just don't get it, and I hate doing research on subjects I find to be boring or in any way uninteresting, anyway. This kind of puts me in a bad way, both as a reader and as an author...

I wish I knew a few more technical things for story-telling purposes. I tend to glaze over tech specifics in true reverse-the-polarity-of-the-neutron-flow fashion.

Little details can really make a story, but going overboard can kill it (not a problem you have, Tetsuwan Penguin.) My stories tend to lack in setting details in general.

As always, great story!

I don't think there was too much tech heavy stuff in here, though I did throw in some aviation terms. Being a private pilot myself, I guess I can't help that. As for the military stuff, well one of our members here actually owns the same kind of truck I mentioned. Oh, and the story actually does take place on an actual military base in Japan, I didn't invent that location. I wonder if Dan-Navy will ever come back here. He might be familiar with the place and might let me know if I screwed up the details (or if Wikipedia and Google did).

Oh and as far as I know LBF, you're the only one on FF.NET that has written any decent stories around Cobalt. I do find it interesting how certain members here seem to gravitate to specific characters, including Tobio, (and he's a difficult one because he only appears in one story in each of the Anime series, unless you count that 'mystery of the metal men' episode.) Though come to think of I've actually written four stories that revolved around him, five if you count that Dr. Who crossover.

Oh I didn't read that; I've never seen Doctor Who, and while hanging around on Tumblr piqued my interest in the show, it also was what killed it after a while (raise your hand if you've ever heard the term "Superwholock").

Hoohoo, more like the only person who writes any stories about Cobalt at all... I dunno about "decent". Little dude doesn't get much love. In fact, I remember one person irrationally hating on him and Chi-tan (they also heaped praise on Uran, for some reason, and got really touchy whenever someone called her "Zoran"), calling them "obsolete" and basically telling the people who liked them to get over it...

I think I know who you mean, that person is now banned from this forum.
