Thanks, AprilSeven. I remembered that the dub uses the term "my boy" rather often. I just could not come up with a reason why they would run into each other.

You're right - and I one thing I loved about the movie was that they kept that expression intact for him. It's from episode 97, Mystery of the Metal Men - about 2 minutes from the end.

Astro is returned to his "real" world, but isn't sure at first and asked where he was . . . Elefun lurched forward and demanded "What are you babbling about Astro Boy??!!??" - while doing so, he scrunched his nose into poor Astro's face!
