Maybe Nathan was more slender at that point in his life? Maybe Disney wasn't as flexible on design? Good question, but I thought 09 Ham Egg looked like Nathan, and then read he was the only character who reflected the voice actor's appearance. I also read that Nathan was going to change his voice for Ham Egg, but they really liked his natural voice for the part. Maybe that was why -- they shifted Ham Egg away from an Italian guy stereotype?
