Shouldn't be relevant anyway. ;)

"Astro Forever" wrote:Strange Wings is recycling! :p I remember very well the first time he used that picture in this game. :D

It helps that it was in the first round in which I submitted a picture, too!

 I intended to edit my post in the mentioned round for reinserting the pic but there's no 'edit' field appearing anymore  !
Nevermind, then I'm putting it here once again:

Here is the site I got it from. :D (Just click on 'Posters')

Just did one myself (which, of course, doesn't count for the election):
Image

Mona Lisa: "Hi, handsome! Where are you headed for?"

Astro: "The Leonardo Da Vinci Museum. ...Hey, waaaiiiit a moment...."

I recall hearing of Don Martin's demise, did he die recently?

About the pic, he is obviously driving in reverse. I would consider a tail wind, but Atom's clothing shows no signs of any breeze. Perhaps she slammed on the brakes, but if so, that makes one wonder how the car stopped so short on ice. :hyo:

He died quite a while ago, on 6th January 2000.

 I like the hypothesis about Mona slamming the brakes at sight of Astro, causing her tongue to head on course. :p
Perhaps she mounted some spike tires for improved grip on ice?

Ok, another one (out of election as before):

Atlas (thinking): #@&%&$....! Sodding car doesn't move an inch!

Astro: "Ummm, Atlas, I'm not familiar with your habits in maneuvering your crystal castle, but in cars the first gear usually is located at the upper left. And don't forget to step on the clutch while shifting."

Can't say I heard about anything like that. Anyway, I haven't read any more MAD magazines since my youth, thus I can't tell about which artists did quit working for it to this day. :D However I'm still a fan of Don Martin and Spy vs Spy. The comics of
Dave Berg (June 12, 1920 - May 17, 2002) used to be funny too.

I always liked Don Martin's bizarre onomatopoetic sound effects going "GLORK", "FAGROON klubble klubble" (for a collapsing building), "PATWANG-FWEEE" or "GAZOWNT-GAZIKKA", "ZABBAZGONG" among others.
For further exemples, check out the Don Martin Sound Effect Dictionary.
