Yeah, the parallels are undoubtedly existing, however, in 'The Hijacked Airship / le vaisseau de rêve' he ended up sticking in the ground by impact. In this exemple here, it simply was a malfunction of Doc Elefun's beaming transporter which had Astro materialized with his head in the ground upside-down.
