Just what you were complaining about. Well if they violated Tezuka's copyrights to produce it they should have been sued. And if Tezuka Productions approved it, they have nothing to complain about.

There were legal issues going on at the time, but they didn't have any rights to Tezuka's characters anyway. Not to mention how out of character they actually were.
