I haven't seen too many anime movies, but one that has always stuck with me (even though I've only seen it once) is Barefoot Gen. It's a story about a boy who tries to survive shortly after the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. I've only seen it once, but I remember some of its visuals pretty clearly. I would say it's my favorite anime movie overall in terms of objective quality.

My favorite anime not based on the works of Tezuka would be "Space Battleship Yamato" which was also known as "Star Blazers". My favorite anime based on Tezuka works would be "Black Jack".

What is your favorite Sci-Fi movie?

My favorite sci-fi movie is Galaxy Quest. If you haven't seen it, it's about a group of actors from a Star Trek-like show who are taken into space by aliens. The aliens, who are threatened by a cheesy lizard villain, watch the Galaxy Quest show and think that it's historical record of actual space heroes. Chaos ensues.

I've blocked a lot of classes from my memory, but the ones I tended to like the best were my English classes and my history classes.

If I had to choose one though, it would have to be my choir class from college. I attended choir all 4 years of high school and my first 3 years of college and enjoyed both quite a bit. I had a different teacher the first 2 years and the last 2 years of high school choir; the teacher from the first 2 years was so much better. In college though, I had the same professor all 3 years and she was probably the best professor I ever had. The college choir was pretty small too; it only ever had 10-20 students in it at a time. I got along with a lot of them during those 3 years. I only ended up dropping out of my college choir because I was burnt out from taking choir classes for 7 years straight. I learned a lot from those classes though and have a lot of great memories from them.

My favorite Mario game is Super Mario World for the SNES! A lot of fond memories for that game.

Do you like to cosplay, and if you do what is your favorite cosplay you have done?

I like to cosplay, but I have no money so they haven't been very good. I dressed up as Black Jack one year for Halloween, and I did a low-budget Bagi recently. I'm planning on building the top hat/sombrero/mask thing that Don Tay wore in Don Tay's Infernal Machine. It's going to be hilarious and no one will get it but I don't care.

Do you have any pets?

What is your favorite food?

I wonder how the cat would get along with a ferret?

I think the item I order the most at one restaurant we go to the most would be their garlic chicken linguine.

What's the weirdest food you've ever eaten?

Depends on the ferret and cat, ferrets can be playful and cats can be receptive to them and not see them as prey. If we ever do get a ferret, we'll be cautious and never leave them alone together.

The weirdest food I've ever eaten is horse sushi, umazushi. I prefer the fish.

If you could travel back to ANY time period or date, when would you go any why?

I've sometimes imagined that I was working at the Menlo Park Laboratories of Thomas Edison on February 13, 1880 when he made the discovery that started the electronics industry. The "Edison Effect" wouldn't be put to practical use until 1906 when Lee Deforest invented the triode vacuum tube. Edison had been working on improving long distance telephone operation (he would invent the carbon microphone telephone transmitter), but had he been given a little 'nudge' in the right direction, maybe he might have stumbled on the vacuum tube amplifier years before it was finally invented. I sometimes dreamed I was there to give him that little hint.

What place would be on the top of your list of places to visit (anywhere in the world, or maybe off it)?
