Re: Questions about the SIREN ENTERTAINMENT VHS's
Thanks! However, I did find a WTGI 61 airing of the show and it had an amount of frame ghosting. Also, was the original airing overseas? Or was it early US syndication? And I can recreate the next episode preview music cuz of the Manga VHS tapes with their surplus footage.

DrFrag wrote: I think they also changed the extra footage added to some episodes that ran short due to cut scenes. Astro's First Love has almost a minute of extra footage and it's all scenes from the episode itself. I clearly remember the broadcast version having footage of the opening sequence and Astro fighting Bruton, because it had the longest clean instrumental track of the main theme which I wanted a copy of. I'm not sure why Manga bothered messing with that, it seems like a bunch of work for no good reason.
I think you're right about that, because when I saw the ending credits to "The World Of Odin" on Volume 6, I saw this (thanks to what I suspect is bad telecine, combined with dubbing the film elements to videotape, is what's causing frame ghosting or "burning")
(had to compress it due to file limits)
As you can faintly see, a shot of Astro flying to Earth in the theme song is present here. That's a bit of proof that you are RIGHT. Manga also trimmed the Tank scene on "The Birth Of Astro Boy" for some reason, removing the scene where Astro saves the people from the burning building. It's also weird to note that after the trailer for "The Transformation Robot", a different instrumental track plays during the padded footage instead of the track used on said trailer.
