I like both, but the '03 Astro is better unless they ever make a anime series of the '09 movie (which will never ever happen

While enjoyable, the movie seemed very shallow and didn't contain enough plot and emotion for me. I wanted to hear about the struggle for robot rights, the relationship between robots and humans, and lets not forget all the important characters who weren't featured (or barely featured) such as Uran, Astro's parents, Mustachio, Skunk and Atlas. Even ELEFUN only made brief cameos! I like all the takes on Astroboy but there's no way you can compare the movie to the TV series, save for the graphics.
