Tetsuwan Atom 1963 + 2003 (japanese) best release t obuy?

Postby Genshi-san » 4 years ago

Hey guys, looking to get my hands on the 1963 series, i know in japan they released i think 9 box sets with are priced arround 140 each (over a grand for the lot) and i belive 2 very large sets containing i belive the full sub 200 episode count on 2 boxed sets, witch is the best release to get? best extras, most complete, ect.

I am also looking for the 19 volumes of the 2003 series (japanese release and or Korean), if anyone owns the set id be willing to pay upto 150 for the lot.

Get an old Oppo Video DVD player and use this trick to make it play all regions
https://itstillworks.com/make-oppo-dvd- ... 80937.html

Just enter a 'cheat code' on the remote control.

IT HAS BEEN a while since I watched them, & not being much for reading Japanese, I do not know if there are any extras. I knew a guy who bought the original releases, & I do not recall seeing any extras on his, either. Now, I want to check!

Going off of a torrent of the jp release, it has alot of production footage and i belive a few interviews with tezuka and the staff of mushi, i belive some commontaries by some of the staff, aswell as the liner notes being filled with production material

Oh, I have been translating the booklets (liner notes?) for some time; though currently, I am working on notes from the 32 volume Kappa Comics version. most of what I translated from the 1960s booklets were character names & voice actors. But I did begin doing other things from the 6 booklets.
