As I used to watch Astroboy as a kid in the 1980's. I have just relived the experience, all over. When the theme song plays, I can't help but sing along, with the volume turned up as loud as possible.
I want everyone to watch Astroboy, as it's so addictive. I have bought every episode from the 1980's and can't wait until the ABC show the new 26 episodes that are being made.

I had not heard of any
ABC show; however, there is one coming to Kids WB, that is currently in its 28th week in Japan. Check the other threads in this forum for discussions.
New English Dubbed Names is as good a place to start as any.

Oops... I'm sorry, I meant ABC (Australian Broardcasting Corporation) have bought the copywrites for broadcasting the new episodes...

How much do I love Astro? Well, let me put it this way. When I read the manga, and when ever Astro crys or gets really upset, I have this urge to want to hug him. Same thing when I saw the pilot episode of the 80s series when he accidently humiliated his father (Dr. Boyton) at a dinner on a cruise ship and Dr. Boyton told him "Don't call me dad. You are just a robot." I ju felt so bad for him and wanted to hug him or something. Strange, I know, but i'm a strange guy.

That's what I've heard too.
http://members.optushome.com.au/veemon/cheeztv.htmlAlthough the ABC had the rights to the 80s series, I doubt anime is their style anymore.
