Actually, the point of this episode seems to have been the abuse of the robot actors, as was also the case in the 1980s

In a variation of the Prince & the Pauper
The Tetsuwan children switch places with their twins, and each assumes the others' roles. Note that this occurs before the pics of squalid conditions elswhere in this thread.
Time to go home, but the Tetsuwan children refuse to identify themselves. They want conditions improved for the stunt robots.
