I do not know about Internet Explorer, but with Opera, you just right-click the image, & its properties are displayed: 100x100 pixels & about 23kB.

Everything in this thread should be okay, unless somebody hijacked it at some point with a random creation.

as far as I know, that one is currently unused. I do not own them, but it seems ok to me.

Of course you can.
I think I should even erase some of the names below the avatars. LarryPCross has posted three times and that was a year ago, so the avatar he has chosen doesn't really matter. Same with tellville, who has two posts and didn't visit the site in over a year. You may choose the avatars they had chosen if you prefer those. There may be others that could be made available because either the user switched avatar and I didn't think of updating the list or because the user doesn't come back anymore, so if there's another you like, you can ask.

I've updated the nicknames below the avatars - I've added a few and removed others. (Of course, the nicknames appear only in the message in which the avatar was first posted and not in their subsequent apparition in quotes.)
I guess I should reunited them all in the very first message.
If I have time some day and I happen to think of it, I might do it.

Boo-hoo! my avatar exceeds the 80x80 pixel limits on T-in-E, & animated Signatures are not allowed. Please make an 80x80 version of my avatar.

The quality isn't very good at 80x80...
Do you have the original frames? I don't have them anymore. There's a chance that the quality could be better if I went from the original frames instead of the smaller animation (240x180) from which I created your current avatar and the above animation.
If it's still not good, then perhaps you would have to choose another animation, one that remains clear even at 80x80.
