I gave it a try, here's the result:
I'll see if I could do better tomorrow. I've just realized I apparently made yours by drastically reducing the number of colors.
Edited: okay, I cropped your current avatar, then tried another 100x100 version at 32 colors...
If you'd rather have quality over size, I could try to do one at 80x80 but I think the image is better seen at 100x80.

My own avatar, which I consider quite personal was recently used by a new member. While I welcome this member, I am jealous of my avatar. Avatars are used to highlight posts made by certain users. I myself edited the offender's avatar & restored it to the default of no avatar. I hope you are not offended.
Use one that is not currently being used. If you are unsure, just ask.
We can make one just for you, if you can name the scene you want.

I think it's because it is also in black and white, which is not common, but diversity is a good thing. We'll all get used to it.

I tried to make an avatar of Skunk which Jeffbert had provided the frames of.
I had to drop the last frame and to shrink the avatar down to 88x88 pixels to keep the size below 25kb:
Astro Forever, I'm sure you'll get the job done better. I think my lousy GIF-creating software has reached its limits.
