Good job Strange Wings!

It seems fine to me, your software seems to be doing a good job, or maybe you are such a master at it that you can manage things one could deem impossible, such as what you manage to do with Paint!

I was speaking of the Photoshop game. Of course, it isn't impossible to use Paint to work on animated gif and then use some other software to put the images together.

I feel flattered getting such praise from you, knowing about your huge experience in avatar-creating. :D
The software I use for GIF-creating (...which is 'Animake', btw) doesn't allow reducing colors on a big scale, so I have to choose from 4 options only, those being:

- 16,7m colours
- 256 colours
- 16 colours
- b/w

I kept going with the one option most reasonable to me, I don't think I have to tell which one. :)

Of course, it isn't impossible to use Paint to work on animated gif and then use some other software to put the images together.

Actually that's pretty much what I do. I happen to involve Paint in creating GIFs when I have to crop the frames, since Animake doesn't allow any frame cropping. :(

I do not believe the software on my laptop even supports changing the color depth. :D

Have you tried using "Virtual Dub" to make animated gifs? You can convert any Avi file to an animated gif, and you can use 100's of different options like resize, framerate and color depth. It makes it a lot quicker to make a gif than doing each frame separately.

If I had some video files on me I'd show some examples.

:) That's a nice suggestion!
Although I have both VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod it never occured to me using them for making GIFs.

I have to take a closer look.
Thanks for pointing me to it, TasZero!

Not a problem. It can save a lot of time.
And don't get too carried away, although you can convert a whole episode to a GIF it would be huge, so don't do it :p
