Just to say, I am here since more then 2 years now. I had never kept in a forum for so long before, and certainly not with such a regularity. Even during the "bad days", it was friendly enough for me

Same here! Except that I've been faithful to many forums for quite a long time.

There are no real "rude" and "not rude" people. I would even go as far as saying that some members here have been both rude and good contributors. The area is rather gray, so I don't think we could say how many rude people there are.

I don't post much here, but I always lurk on this board at least once a day.

From all the boards that I frequent, yes, this place is the most friendliest. While most boards would shy away or be rude to newcomers, you all seem to give newbies lead way and answer their questions (even though you have answered the same questions over and over again).

I'm not quite sure, but I think why there is harmony here is because there are members from different parts of the world that frequently post... Plus that most of the members are adults. They usually have better online manners and patient with others than those under 18.

I think the point was that while this forum has an overall friendly atmosphere, there have been a few who made it miserable for a while. We had a few members forsake us because of this.

We had one guy whose first post was a thread that told us how stupid our little robot was. Why he could find nothing better to do with his time, I cannot even guess. We also had a few threads turn to political discussions, a few that had insults tossed back and forth between members, & a few that were completely incomprehensible.

Because of these rare, but annoying problems, we created a team of moderators, & drafted a set of rules. Anyone who messes around will be paddled severely.
