thats one thing that they can't change

And me too. I still think black and white is better than color. And Astro Boy is no exception.

I never had a chance to say it (or at least not recently), but I really appreciate all the 1960s screenshots you post on this message board. Every time I see new screenshots of an episode I've never seen before (or even episodes that I have seen), they cheer up my otherwise bad day (curse the life of a college student...).
