- the right skecth under you see Tenma screaming/yelling angry at Elfun what scene could that be maybe its the scene tobio died?

Naw, to me, it looks like they're building Astro. I got a closer look at the bag, and you can see in the top left-hand corner, they're standing at a machine. And in those bottom sketches, Tenma's holding something that kind of looks like Astro's heart engine.
BTW, Dr. T looks much...shorter.

Ninjatron, I was listening to the interview...I'll point this crap out because it's what I do, but it looks like Tobio'll be under the name of Toby Tenma. As well, whoever General Stone is, he's the focal enemy of the film.

Not much new info, but very cool to hear them talk about the film. Eugene Levy is the voice of Dr. Tenma's house robot.

Anyway... I just got an e-mail from an interesting person. :)
But I will say no more for now.

Will be gone for a few weeks, so I will probably not be keeping track of any potential major news. See ya later.

Sayonara.

Ah, the animation, it's... horrible.
I hate to be the rain on the parade, again, but doesn't anyone else think that Astro looks, well, really bad? He looks nothing like the 'Atomu' I know and love!

No.
I think he looks pretty decent for CGI. Boots might take some getting used to. Hope they're not final.

I think that heart engine scene is from when the government was trying to ban Tenma's research on his AI. In the manga, they seal it away from him and he takes it back. Ochanomizu tries to stop him and he goes ahead and creates... you know the rest.

At least, that's what happens in the manga based on the 2003 series.

2 things I noticed:

  1. Shorts!? Atom wears a brief.
  2. His boots are more like the 'boots' the dept. store Santas wear over their shoes.

Other than those, I am quite pleased by his appearance; his hands are much closer to the correct proportions for a child aged 9-12. :astro:

Looks quite pleasing! :)

I was going to say the same thing about his briefs as Jeffbert, the wasteband actually is ought to be part of the body other than just an attachment to the shorts (which it looks like).

For my taste, they could've put his hair line a bit more closer down to his eye brows, and a little more emphasis on his middle hair point would suit his face too.
Maybe something like this:

Oh yeah, and eyelashes! Where are the eyelashes?
There they are:

Ok, I'll stop being fussy now.

Well, at least they are not long eyelashes. :lol: Something I noticed about the Disney Hercules was that he had a feminine appearance;

but I just could not say what was particularly feminine about him. After a while, I identified it: his neck was very long, despite all the muscles. Now this may not be a real feminine trait, but rather only a cartoon one; nevertheless, I wondered if the Disney Co. that produced this would meet with its founder's approval. It just seemed that Disney Co. went astray after Walt's death. The founder of Tezuka Co., on the other hand has a legacy of creating animation for all age groups, including some that is clearly unfit for the younger ones, Cleopatra comes to mind. I suppose this could be a thread, but I really know little beyond what I have written here.
