It is the same button as jump. While floating, pressing the jump button while moving in a direction causes Astro to dash in the given direction. Mostly useful against foes who shoot a lot
Well, when the Blue Knight keeps is sword up, the only thing to do is to break the attack and get some distance. The quick dash allows to dodge his attacks, then go for him with a ram attack irate: You'll quickly learn how many of them are efficient before he counter-attacks. I usually defeat him by using *only* this kind of attack, apparently the only one that works decently.
