I know, Eppie is kinda green, but beyond that -- just Google up Olivia singing "Gotta believe we are magic!" and there she is: Epsilon!
Epsilon singing Australian National Anthem:
Australians all let us rejoice
For we are young and free
With golden soil and wealth for toil
Our home is girt by sea
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia fair

Now imagine Epsilon singing it. It works. IT REALLY WORKS

!!!
This part was not sung...
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share
With courage let us all combine
To advance Australia fair
In joyful strains then let us sing
Advance Australia fair

VOTE FOR EPSILON AS PRIME MINISTER

Or president, if you live in the U.S. ...

You're RIGHT!! What a beautiful national anthem that is!! I'll bet LittleAcorn could make a dub of Epsilon singing with Olivia's voice -- but I don't know if there's enough footage of her to last long enough.
Epsilon was always previously shown to be a man (and it Pluto, he's could be considered a gay man) -- I wonder why they made the character female in the 2003 anime -- I'm glad they did, though -- I think she's far more interesting as a woman.

Olivia was very popular when I was in my 20's -- so I think of her as a buoyant, cheerful young woman with large, blue eyes, flowing blond hair and a ready smile -- she had a very warm and "open" presence. Plus she was Australian. I tried to find a pose similar to my Epsilon avatar . . . looky it's a
real album cover!! Remember record albums? You don't? *shrinks away, feeling old!*

I agree with you. Unfortunately, they are making a film of the Pluto manga, so chances are that Epsilon would become male again...
p.s. Wow, they do look quite similar...

Of course I grew to really love the
Pluto Epsilon -- at first he seemed like a wimp, but in the end, he was a dad to all these adorable little war orphans, and when he was blown to bits, his robot hands protected the most traumatized of all the children.

I cried like crazy when he died.
I'm happy 2003 Epsilon got to live!

Oh, I know what record albums are. I think we have some in the house too.

Hm, I think I can see the resemblance now.

Pure coincidence? Or is Epsilon really based on her?

You tell me!
Here's another curiousity: In Pluto, Epsilon's creator is Dr. Ronald Newton-Howard.
How ironic is that? Also note that Olivia Newton-John's father was a professor!
I'd say -- that was intentional!! And very cool!

Pity they didn't mention who Epsilon's creator was in the '03 series...
