What made you become a fan of Astro Boy?

The movie got me interested in the character and really made me start to fall in love with Astro Boy, and then I started to check out the background information and found out he (well...Tezuka, through him and others) was instrumental to virtually all of the anime and probably most of the fiction and ideas that I so love today. I also started to watch a few of the 2003 eps, and I'm completely in love with the character now. And that's saying something - it doesn't happen often when I like something this much.

As a kid I thought it would be cool to fly around, throw cars and trash bad guys.

cos dad introduced it to me and back then id watch any kids show lol

I become a fan of astroboy because His Cool!
He has Strong and he have rare abilities Like Butt Guns(a rare thing to find in a robot) and Arm Cannon
(Both 1980s and 2003
)
And in the 1st place beacuse of zoran

I loved watching Astro on TV as a teenager. I thought he was so cool; a boy who could fly like a rocket, with super strength and lights in his eyes and machine guns in his arms. Plus he was the nicest kid around. I loved it!

I was six living in Germany looking through my moms old VHS tape cause we didn't have cable and even if we did I couldn't understand German yet. So I sat down and watched it...I don't really remember what episode it was, but I do remember it was black and white at the time. Mom and me sat down and watched it together...I still have that tape too

I love Astro because I love robots and all that subjet.. also, the story is so touching and viceral. The original one.... T__T.

you know whats weird...i hated robots
they scared they hell outta me when I was younger, but only the insides of em
kinda like the insides of the human body freak me out right
as long as Astro looked cute, I didnt mind
but i remember times I got scared when the showed Astro's skeletal structure and such

I randomly caught the 2003 anime in the morning on CBBC last year.
