This is very amateurish! Any legitimate vendor would have a button to press to initiate the ordering process. He could at least sell via eBay, that would give any 'buyers' [snicker] some measure of protection from fraud. If I click the image of the product, I go to Photobucket!
I should have squashed this long ago!
My opinion that essentiel-style's site is illegitimate stands. :ninja:

I should state that neither the mods nor the owner of Astroboy-online endorse either the products or the vendor. Order at your own risk! But I have instead deleted all references to the site.

TO ANYONE WHO MIGHT CONSIDER ADVERTISING PRODUCTS HERE: While we might be interested in Astroboy-related products, you must get permission from the mods before posting advertisements here.

Hi Jeffbert,

I think you are a NOOB in online shopping.

Because this is how online Shopping works in Singapore.

Every blog site owner will create a site to sell Clothes..

This will only work within Singaopore.

I think they are kind enough to provide postage to overseas!

Maybe you should look at more of these online shopping web site before commenting on their products!

Actually, Es-crew, I think that these shirts aren't authentic merchandise, as I have seen them with various prices on eBay. Do you happen to work with, or be, Essentiel-style?

And this is not Singapore. In North America, we don't like having people suddenly invade our sites and try to get our money. Like Jeffbert said, you need to ask the moderators before advertising. You lose; good day sir.

I found this thread and felt unfair for the member so decided to say something... never thought of being a member in this site until i found this thread.

I feel that i should say something because i know the way it works since i am a Singaporean as well...

I thought this forum is worldwide and not just base on North America?

I have check out ebay and found this:

URL removed by jeffbert. Oh, how convenient that a new member just happens to join the very same day he also finds essentiel-style's new eBay account & new listing for the very same items he tried to sell on his own page! :D A respectable merchant should have other than a "(0)" beside his name. BTW, we can ban your IP address!

How can we judge whether an item is Authentic or Not by looking at the Site?

I dunno, as for me, these shirts looked a bit sketchy to me. I looked and thought about it but, nyeh - the pictures don't do a great job (for me) of showing the hologram, so I decided not to chance it.

I've seen pics of the official hologram shirt they released years ago that look amazing (sold out completely as far as I know) but I dunno if I'd trust these new ones.

Also, personally it did strike me as sort of spamming to join a forum only to occasionally sell shirts (and post multiple times). I dunno - I have mixed feelings because they were interesting to look at - maybe the mods could consider a "Astro Boy Merchandise For Sale/Trade" section for stuff like this.

General Rules

The following rules apply to all members and every forum. Offending topics will be closed (no further responses allowed) or in extreme cases, removed all together. Repeated offenses may warrant in your posting privileges being revoked indefinitely.

* Respect the other members.
Do not flame, bash or insult the other members. Treat the other members with the same respect that you would expect from them. Remember, we are all from different nations, have different cultures, embrace different beliefs and are all entitled our own opinions. If you feel you cannot abide by this most basic rule, then please leave.
* No Political or Religious discussions.
Though the General Discussion forum has been provided as a place to talk about almost anything, there are some threads that are just better left unstarted and such topics often only lead to heated arguments and offended members with hurt feelings.
* No swearing.
Please remember that we are a community for all ages and that many Astro fans are young children. Do not attempt to bypass the swear filter, it is in place for a reason.
* No trolling or baiting.
Do make posts that are deliberate attempts to anger the community or entice arguments. Such posts will be removed immediately.
* No posting of illicit or explicitly pornographic material.
This includes the posting of links to sites containing such material, be they in your signature or otherwise.
* No blatant advertising.
Do not start a thread for the sole purpose of selling something. Advice on where to buy products or merchandise is acceptable if it is relevant to the topic at hand. Signature links to stores are fine.
* No multiple accounts.
Only one account per person is allowed. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one from the forums. If you would like your username changed, please contact a moderator and they will gladly fix you up.

If you feel a thread or post has broken any of these rules, you can report it to our moderating team by clicking the small icon in the bottom left of each post.

Posting Guidelines

The following guidelines will give you some tips to helping make the Astroboy Online forums a fun and friendly place for everyone. While they are not hard and fast rules, we do ask that you follow them wherever possible.

* Avoid double posting where possible.
If you finish posting a message but find you have something else you wanted to add, edit your post rather than posting a second message.
* No resurrecting old threads unless you have something meaningful to add.
If a thread has been inactive for a month or longer, please do not add a post unless you have something important or meaningful to add. Consider starting a new thread instead.
* Please post in the relevant forum.
While we are first and foremost a forum for discussing all things Astro, there does exist a General Discussion forum for any off topic conversations you might wish to have. Please ensure you select the appropriate place for your thread.
* When posting large images, consider linking to the image instead.
If your image is quite large, consider linking to it offsite and including a thumbnail in your post. Imageshack will host your images for free and will automatically produce a thumbnail for you.
* Please be mindful when posting personal information.
Please remember that these forums are public and can be read by anyone with internet access. If you wish to send someone your photo or personal details, send them a PM or email requesting their contact details instead.
* Please post only in English.
While we understand that not everyone has English as a first or even second language, it is the primary language of our community. Please at least try to provide a babelfish translation of your post.

Avatar and Signature Guidelines

Our forum allows you to use your own custom avatar and signature which will appear alongside each of your posts. Please try to keep the following in mind when choosing an avatar or signature.

* Avatars are limited to 100x100x25kb
This means your avatar may be no more than 100 pixels wide or tall and may not exceed 25 kilobytes in size.
* Signature images are limited to 400x100x75kb
If you would like an image in your signature, it may be no more than 400 pixels wide, 100 pixels tall and may not exceed 75 kilobytes in size. A signature image counts as 5 lines of text (see below). Smilies do not count towards this limitation. Some exceptions may be made for signatures that are just over the recommended limit.
* Text in signatures.
In general, try not to have a signature that is going to be larger than 90% of your posts. You may have up to six (6) lines of text in your signature at the default font size. Images count as 5 lines (see above), this means you may only have one line of text if using an image in your signature.

If you have any questions or complaints, please feel free to contact on of our friendly moderators and they'll be more than happy to help you out.

And most of all, have fun!

PS: Which part of these RULES state that no one is allow to sell anything online and which part of these RULES state that "you need to ask the moderators before advertising"?

I'm just being very curious on how this forum works?
