I'm guessing the film-makers thought it made Astro look too heroic and capable too soon. At that point in the film he'd just his home and his father, and been forced out of Metro City; he was alone and vulnerable. Showing him beating up a couple of bad guys would have lessened the impression of how precarious his position was, and made him less sympathetic. I think the film-makers made the right choice.[/QUOTE]

Spider is one of the reappearing background characters like this thing :hyo:

. Could not find an image on the internet but he is introduced along with the other things in the forward to the first story in volume 10.

Anyone here besides me thought the movie was perfect in how nice and caring they showed Astro Boy to be. I personally hope they make a sequel. Thanks
